The reason there had been such a long gap in my blog entries is because of these gifts. These are the gifts I made my sister for her birthday, which was on the 5th June. There is a cushion to go with this set, but I had never got around to photographing it.
So, this top image is a wooden trug I filled with all the things needed to grow some sweet pea flowers. You have to understand sweet pea is one of the many nicknames my sister calls me, so it’s a very cute idea for a present. I hear the plant is doing very well, but is yet to flower, although I’m sure it will fill her flat with a lovely smell when it does.
This is an apron I made her for when she is cooking cupcakes. Made from an old bed sheet and hemmed around the edges. I then ironed some super cool sukie iron-on animals.
